Oval: My wife and I met James E. Tarnue in Liberia about four years ago. His father died during the Liberian civil war that claimed the lives of 250,000 people.  James struggled and worked hard to finish high school.  We took James as our son because of his honesty, commitment, and determination.  He was privileged to come to the states to further his study. He is the oldest orphan we have, so to speak.  Surprisingly, he is attending the University of Alaska...with some help from our friends in Alaska...Pastor Ken Friendly and sister Cathrine H. Miller.
